Title:

Domesticity from the floorplan

Abstract: 

With the lecture “domesticity from the floor plan”, Cierto Estudio will go through their work focusing on the floorplans and how their layout can bring out different domestic situations. The talk is centred on the key concepts that define their housing projects.

Bios:

Ivet Gasol is a co-founding partner of Cierto Estudio, a team of six young architects in constant experimentation who display their interests in the fields of architecture, design, culture and research. Based in Barcelona, it was founded in 2014 by Marta Benedicto, Ivet Gasol, Carlota de Gispert, Anna Llonch, Lucía Millet and Clara Vidal. From their work in the office, they promote the innovation in new models of collective housing aligned with contemporary trends and needs.
With the proposal “Walking from the Center” they have won in 2021 the first prize to design the new “Superilla” of the Eixample, redeveloping Consell de Cent Street as a new Green Axis of the City.
Their work has also been recognized with the first prize for the social housing building in Plaza de las Glòries in Barcelona, which is nowadays under construction, and a promotion of 70 public housing units in a village called Masnou.
